The Newburyport International Business Coalition (IBC) believes “the world is flat.” Advances of the digital revolution and the lowering of trade and political barriers have made it possible to do business instantaneously with billions of people anywhere on the planet. In order to achieve sustainable growth, companies and local governments must understand the effects of this connected global economy and how to leverage this new paradigm to their advantage.

 

The IBC was founded in 2005 by local business professionals to serve as a catalyst for establishing a dynamic and prosperous international business community within the greater Newburyport area. The IBC seeks to foster sustainable economic growth by helping companies and professionals leverage the global economy and reclaim Newburyport’s legacy as a center for international trade and commerce.

The IBC Forums take place once a month at the Custom House Maritime Museum, 25 Water Street in Newburyport, from 7:45 to 9:00 am.
